My name is Myla Laurel. I am a Filipino expat living in Dubai for two years and counting. I just transferred to a new company which I love. It gives me so much opportunities for growth.
I have a strong passion for photography, music, pugs and art. Living in Dubai opened many doors for me. I have learned how to really enjoy the experience of eating. I owe it big time from: working in an Italian restaurant and my foodie boyfriend.
I now know how to appreciate different cuisines such as Korean, Japanese, Indian, French,Italian, American and many more. I am a fan of spicy food. As much as possible I carry my Tabasco anywhere I go (but not really). Btw, I adore pugs – for me they are the humblest creature on the planet.
This blog is my journey of discovery as I swap country living in a big city. I hope to contribute knowledge for anyone wanting to visit as I explore the gorgeous city of Dubai. You can follow me on Twitter, Google+, Facebook! Cheerios! xoxo
Keep it up, Myla! Your blog looks very pretty. And interesting! 🙂

No worries, then. September is off-peak and in my opinion, a much better time to go to Boracay. Have fun! Hope my post helped you to some extent 🙂

Thanks for stopping by our blog! We had fun in Dubai but I find it hard to imagine living there – don’t do well in heat! How does your pug feel about the heat?
My pleasure. You guys are inspiring! Glad to have stumbled on your blog. I really enjoyed reading your adventures. It’s quite hard living here during summer but you will get use to it eventually – esp I came from a tropical country. It’s not so hard to adjust. Well, my pug is so lazy so we just walk him to do his toilet and back quickly. 🙂
Hello! Nice pics from around Dubai! It looks like you are doing so much more with the city than a lot of people do living here! Thanks for stopping by underweardiaries! Aloha! j

Hi Myla! Thanks for dropping by my blog! I’ve yet to browse to the rest of the posts here, but looking through it makes me reminisce my past. 🙂 Oh and the variety of food and its authentic taste (even if it might be “foreign”.

Salamat for liking my post about date shakes, Myla! Since you’re in Dubai, have you come across them?
When I think of food in the Philippines (and Filipino food), spicy is the last word that comes to mind. Condensed milk on the other hand… can you recommend hot dishes?
